With the continuous upgrade and development of the network, the sales of optical modules are constantly rising, and various types of optical modules are emerging in an endless stream. Today, I will introduce the connection scheme of conventional 10G SFP+ optical modules.
10G SFP+ optical module direct connection solution
①10G SFP+ SR optical module direct connection: two modules are connected through the multi-mode optical fiber of the LC interface, which is suitable for short-distance transmission within 300m;
②10G SFP+ LR optical module direct connection: The two modules are connected through the single-mode optical fiber of the LC interface, which is suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet transmission within 300m to 10km;
③10G SFP+ ER optical module direct connection: The two modules are connected through the single-mode optical fiber of the LC interface, which is suitable for transmission from 10km to 40km;
④ 10G SFP+ ZR optical module direct connection: Two modules are connected through a single-mode optical fiber with an LC interface, which is suitable for long-distance transmission over 40km, and is currently the solution with the longest transmission distance of 10 Gigabit optical modules.

10G optical module connection scheme
10G SFP + optical module and 40G QSFP + optical module connection:
①The simplest SFP+ and QSFP+ connection scheme nowadays is to use a one-to-four jumper, one side is an MPO interface, the other four are LC interfaces, the MPO interface is connected to the QSFP+ module, and the LC interface is connected to the SFP+ module, without any equipment The transmission can be carried out, which saves equipment and space resources. The disadvantage is that the jumper has to be replaced if one part is damaged;
②There is also a combination of 4 SFP+ optical modules and 1 QSFP+ optical module using an optical fiber distribution box, and MTP-LC fiber jumpers are used between the optical fiber distribution box and the QSFP+ optical module. The optical fiber distribution box and SFP+ optical module are completed by LC duplex jumpers. This solution can be easily maintained, and once one of the jumpers is damaged, it can be replaced, saving jumper resources.
